This aquatic turtle was actually submersed in water when this photographic image was captured, although the water is so clear that it may be difficult to determine if water was present.
Aquatic turtles are quite different from mud turtles, box turtles, and other types. Diet varies depending on the type of turtle. Certain types of turtles eat fish, others eat meat or vegetables or both meat and vegetables.
It is not uncommon for a turtle’s life to span forty years.
This image was one of many images that I captured while visiting the Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta, GA.
